What's in my bag?

Hello beauties!

“What’s in my makeup bag” posts are trending all over the beauty blogs world these days so I thought why not I follow this trend and do I quick post myself.
I have seen like a zillion “what’s in my bag” posts by now and every time I see any such post I wonder how these people carry all that gorgeous stuff in their perfect bags all the time without creating a mess and without losing their mind. I mean seriously I carry only few essentials in my bag but every time I need to find a thing it’s an struggle for me, I think I lack skills to organize my bag  (can any of you please do a post on your blog about how to organize stuff in my bag? This would be really helpful for me )
I don’t have anything fancy in my bag just a few must have items.

Starting with the beauty products (because I love them):

1-      A hand and body lotion- My hands and feet tend to get very dry when I spend long time in air conditioner so I need to moisturizer them a few times a day.
2-      Sun block:  You all know that we need to apply sun blocks before going outdoors and we also should reapply it during the day even when we are indoors as we cannot escape sun rays even in our home or office. So I always keep the sunblock in my bag but I rarely reapply it during the day… lazy me!
3-      BB cream: I am not someone who’d reapply my makeup in office many times a day so for me a compact powder and lipstick is enough for touch ups but still I keep some makeup with me in case I need it.
4-      Compact powder to touch up my makeup especially in summer.
5-      Lipstick and gloss: Usually a transparent lip gloss and any lipstick that I am wearing that day.
6-      Cream blush: My holy grail is Maybelline’s DreamBouncy Blush in Pink Frosting.
7-      Mascara: Maybelline’s Volume express mascara is my all-time favorite.
8-      Deodorant

Besides beauty products I keep all these things as well in bag:
9-      My contact lenses kit
10-   My specs with the case: Most of the time I wear contacts but I always keep my glasses with me for any kinda emergency.
11-   I keep lots of tissue papers with me
12-   Then I keep this USB data cable with me so that I can recharge my cell phone’s battery which is always about to die.
13-   My wallet which has some cash and cards.
14-   My water bottle- Usually I run out of space in my bag so I have to carry it in my other hand most of the time
15-   Pen: I never keep any notebook because I never have enough space in my bag. Every time I need to write anything I search my wallet for some old slips to write on and then realize it’s a bad decision not to keep some papers.
16-   Cell phone
17-   Hair brush
18-   Candies/ Gums etc
19-   Safety pins, bobby pins and scotch tape
20-   Hand sanitizer.

OMG that’s too many things and there are lots of things which I want to take everywhere with me but due to space constraints I can’t.

Please share what are the things you always carry in your bag?

That’s it for now. I’ll be back soon

Take care bubye.

Freeman's Chocolate and Strawberry Clay Mask Review

Hello beauties!
How are you doing?

Today I am going to post a review about Freeman’s Strawberry and Chocolate Clay Mask. Freeman is that one brand that we all have been seeing since forever. I have used some other masks from Freeman earlier but this is the first time I have used this clay mask and since this brand has never disappointed me I had the similar expectations from this mask as well.
To know if this mask fulfill my expectations or not read on my review:

Starting with product’s claims:
This indulgent mask does more than tantalize your taste buds! Tone skin and diminish the appearance of large pores with oil-absorbing clays. Delight in delectable Chocolate and Strawberry while Shea and Cocoa Butter moisturize for smoother, softer skin. Perfect for normal to dry skin.
Packaging:
It comes in a 150 ml red regular plastic tube like most masks.

My Thoughts:
First thing first the mask smells like chocolate milk shake (no smell of strawberries) the fragrance is really overpowering and tempting. The moment I opened it I got this really strong craving for chocolate shake and ice cream.
The texture of the mask is neither thick nor very thin and it feels very light on skin. It dries out fast i.e. it takes less than 10 minutes to dry out completely.
When we apply any clay masks we feel our skin stretching under the mask but I did not feel this painful stretching with this mask which I loved about it.
Generally clay masks are not considered suitable for dry skin but I think this mask is good for dry skin as well. I have normal/combination skin but occasionally I get some dry patches on my skin. I started using this mask in last month when my face was at its worst I had several dry patches and uneven skin tone due to daily sun exposure in extreme heat and it actually did wonders for my skin. After using this mask for the first time my skin felt moisturized and most of the dry patches were gone and it also helped in evening out my skin tone.
Lately I have noticed that the pores around my nose are getting larger and visible (this really makes me worried) this mask claims to diminish the appearance of large pores but I did not feel any difference in the appearance of my pores. However the other claims of the mask to make the skin smoother and softer are very accurate.
After using this mask for about 3 weeks my skin has become softer. The shea and cocoa butter make this mask really moisturizing and I do not need to apply any other moisturizer after washing off this mask, this can be an issue for people with very oily skin.
As per the directions it should be used two times a week or as often as needed, when I first started using this mask I used it on alternate days but now as my skin is getting better I use it only twice a week.
Price and availability:
It is easily available on all supermarkets and pharmacies and online. I got mine from Bin Hashim Pharmacy and Supermarket for Rs.340/-

In the end I would recommend this mask to anyone who is looking for budget friendly face mask for even toned and moisturized skin.

That’s it for today I’ll be back soon till then take care..
P.S Have you used this face mask? I’d love to hear what do you think about it..

How I clean my makeup brushes...

Hello beauties!

Today I am going to write about that one task that I hate but can't skip. Yes its about how I clean my makeup brushes.
I wash my everyday makeup brushes about 3-4 times a week but I wash the others only after they are used.

Things needed:
1- Makeup Remover
2- Shampoo
3- Dettol
4- Water
5- Empty bowl

My makeup brush cleaning is a three step process:

First Step:
First I take a bowl and dissolve some makeup remover into it and let my brushes soak into it for roughly around 5-7 minutes so that the brushes are free from all makeup residues.

Second Step:
After that I discard this mixture and refill the bowl with fresh water and add some shampoo and let my brushes take a bath into this new mixture. Sometimes I also add a small drop of dettol I just tend to think it will disinfect my brushes better but I use it only once in a while, not very often.

Third Step:
After that I just run the brushes under the tap water while rubbing lightly over my hand.

After I am done with washing I reshape them with my hands and just let them sit flat on a newspaper or tissue paper to dry.

People use different things to clean their makeup brushes I'd love to know what you use, please share in the comments..

Thanks for stopping by

That's it for now I'll be back soon

Take care

Food review- The Classroom Cafe

Hello beauties!

Today's post is a restaurant/cafe review..
Recently I read some reviews of The Classroom Cafe on the internet and since most of the reviews were positive I knew I must go there very soon. The other day I went there with some friends for lunch and it was a good experience.
The ambiance and food both were great. Their interiors are aesthetic. As the name tells they have given the cafe a classroom kind of look.
The education and school stuff is painted on the walls you can see this in the images.

Their menus are on the photostat paper like class notes and handouts.

The highlight of the interior was these lanterns I just loved them.

About food:
The food was really delicious I became their fan right after having the  first bite of the starter.

At first we ordered the garlic cheese fries and masala fries.
Tarragon chicken
Jalapeno pasta
Alfredo fettuccine pasta
Fajita Cheese sandwiches
but we never got the sandwiches.

Masla Fries

Garlic cheese fries

Jalapeno Pasta

Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta

Tarragon Chicken

About their service:
All food was served within 40 minutes except sandwiches. We kept waiting for about 1 and half hour and after that cancelled our remaining order and left as we were getting late I don't know why the sandwiches took that long to prepare. Although they easily agreed to cancel the order but the behavior of the staff was very rude.

Overall the experience was fine as the food was yummy.
My ratings:
Food: 5/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Service: 2/5

That's it for now
I'll be back soon
Take care.. bubye :)

5 Beauty hacks I actually use

Hello beauties!
How are you all doing?

Today I am going to share some beauty hacks with you which I actually follow. The internet is filled with zillions of beauty hacks and tips some of which are really helpful. I have tried many of them and here I am sharing those which have actually worked for me and I think you should give them a try too.

Beauty hack no.1:
I use scotch tape on the sides of the eyes as a guideline while doing my eye makeup like I did here. It guides me
1) in drawing the perfect wing of eyeliner and
2) in applying the eye shadows so that I do not end up applying more shadow on one eye than on the other.

Beauty hack #2:
I use coconut oil as eye makeup remover. I just put a few drops of oil on cotton and use it to clean my makeup.

Beauty hack #3:
Before applying makeup I prime my face with ice. It closes/shrinks the pores and makes the makeup application smooth.
Image from google

Beauty hack #4:
Before applying perfume I apply vaseline (petroleum jelly) on my pulse point. Using vaseline under perfume make the fragrance last longer.

Beauty hack #5:
I don't like my makeup to look all matte and dry so after completing all my makeup I spray a DIY mixture on my face to get a dewy and youthful finish.
I mix the rosewater with glycerin and lemon juice(optional) and use it as a makeup fixing spray.

So these are my top favorite beauty hacks.
I'll be back soon till than take care

Eid FOTD

Hello beauties
Eid mubarak.
If you don't know what eid is let me tell you it is the festival that we celebrate every year after a month of fasting. You can find more details here..
The Eid celebrations are grand here in Pakisan with lots of food, shopping,  friends and family gatherings and getting dressed in beautiful outfits and everything festive. So where everybody is doing their best to make their day perfect is it possible that a fashion and makeup lover like me not do a special makeup look for eid? No..
So here I am sharing the FOTD that I did for the first day of eid that was yesterday.
I worn an off white net dress with turquoise button and embellishment which I got stitched from a tailor. Sorry I could not take the pictures of complete outfit as there were lots of guests visiting and greeting and serving them took all of my time. But I managed to take some pictures of my makeup.

PRODUCTS USED:

Face:
Makeup Revolution Cover and Conceal Palette
Essence soft touch matte mousse makeup ( Read my review here)
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Pink frosting
Oriflame Peach me Perfect skin glow ( Read my review here)
Eyes:
I heart makeup- I heart obsession palette in born to die
Christine black liner pencil
Maybelline volume express mascara
Essence All eyes on me Mascara
Contact lenses-  Optiano express in spark turquoise

Lips:
Clazona Lipstick in shade 344.

Detailed Tutorial:

First I blow dried my hair and then wore my contact lenses (Note: never use a blow dry after wearing your lenses as they can melt due to heat).
Then I rubbed an ice cube all over my face it shrinks the pores and makes the makeup application smooth.
Then I used my DIY moisturizer (made with rose water and glycerin). I'll be sharing the recipe in another post.
After that I mixed the shade 1 and 2 of cover and conceal palette on the back of my hand and used this on my under eyes .
Then I covered other areas which needed coverage. I got this really big pimple on my right cheek just a day before Eid so this needed to be concealed I used the shade 1 for this.
I didn’t want to do a lot of contouring since it was supposed to be a natural look with minimal makeup (but actually I ended up doing smoky eyes which wasn't my plan at first) so I just used the darkest shade of cover and conceal palette to contour my nose and cheeks which isn't dark enough for proper contouring at least for me but still it worked for my daytime eid look and I used the lightest shade #1 on the bridge of my nose.

After that I applied essence mousse foundation all over my face.

Then comes the eyes part:
I first put on the scotch tape on the sides of my eyes.

Then applied the 3rd shade all over my lids and the 9th shade on the outer corners of my eyes reaching the scotch tape boundary. I also used the 4th shade from the palette in the middle for gradual transition from light to dark and blended them all.

Then I highlighted the brow bone with the 1st shade.
After that I lined my upper lash line with the Christine black liner pencil.
Then I curled my lashes and applied Maybelline mascara and then applied the 2nd coat of essence mascara.
After that I applied the Maybelline blush with my fingers.
Then I set my makeup with the Dazz matazz compact powder.
I also used the oriflame peach me perfect skin glow on my cheek bones.
And at last I put on the lipstick and applied a clear lipgloss just in the middle of my pout.
And this is the end look.

Hope you liked it.

Bubye take care :)

Beauty wishlist..

Hello beauties!
How are you all doing?
By now you people must have known that I have a thing for makeup and I always have a long list of makeup products to buy. But there are a few things which I really really want to get my hands on right now and I am sharing these with you here:

1- The frist thing is Wet n Wild Mega Liner- Liquid eye liner:
I have read some amazing reviews of this liner. It comes in six shades but I love the turquoise one.

2-   The second thing is this mirror I saw online and since then I am thinking about it.
Annabelle's Copper & Blue Metal Fancy Embellished Mirror. It is available on daraz.pk

3-  Then this makeup revolution’s Vivid blush lacquer:
The main reason I want it is because it comes with a pump dispenser and I have never used a liquid blush. After doing my research I have decided on the shade desire.

4-   Then, I want this heart shaped USB. I know it’s way too sparkly and fancy to be used for data transfer especially in office but I can use it as necklace or as a bling for my handbag may be... right?? I really want it.

      5-Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art:
They have it in ten different shades but I love the black brilliance and Topaz twinkle.

I just realized that most of the things on my wishlist are more on the fancy and bling side which is so unlike me. I always prefer light natural looking makeup with nude shades and elegant not so fancy accessories but then its good to try new and different things every once in a while.

That’s it for now…
I’ll be back soon.
Take care… bubye :)
P.S I am looking for a good foot cream and if any of you can help with my search it will be really awesome. Thanks :)
