Friday Favourites... Oriflame Love Nature Wild Rose Eye Cream Review.

Hello everyone!

I am back with a product review. I don’t know why I have been feeling low on inspiration these days. I had a few things which I wanted to review for a long time but I was tired of reviewing things and not doing anything else on the blog but then it hit me that I started the blog to review products for you people, what’s the purpose of this blog’s existence if I stop writing reviews and that’s why I decided to start this Friday favorites series on the blog in which I’d review my favorite things.

So here in the first post of the series I am going to talk about Orilame’s Wild Rose eye cream from their love nature range.

As I have already mentioned in an earlier post here that I have this very bad habit of rubbing my eyes which has resulted into premature fine lines. By the time I was twenty I already had fine lines under my eyes which was scary but I was always lazy to use any eye creams (which I really need to prevent more fine lines). But few months ago I decided to include an eye cream in my skin care routine and I bought this oriflame eye cream.

The Love Nature- wild rose range of Oriflame is for dry skin. I have a normal/combination skin but I bought it during winters when my skin becomes quite dry. It was an impulsive purchase without any research (because it was very affordable) but I have been using it for more than 6 months now which means I am quite satisfied with it. I just stopped using it for some time during May and June but now I have started using it once again.

Packaging:
The cream comes in a 15 ml peachy pink plastic tube with a small opening which makes it hygienic as well as travel friendly. At first the tube looked very small but it has lasted me more than 6 months which is great considering the size and the price.

Product Description:
A lightweight moisturizer for the delicate eye area. Designed with wild rose extracts to nourish and hydrate the skin.

My experience:
When applied, the cream feels oily at first but it absorbs into the skin quickly. I just take a dot of cream on my ring finger and lightly dab it under my eyes.  The texture of the cream is very lightweight it doesn’t feel heavy under my eyes at all neither did it ever cause any irritation.

I apply it twice a day once before I go to bed and second in the morning before applying any makeup. I love that when I use this cream at night my eyes look less puffy in the morning and I also like how it makes my under eyes look hydrated and brighter.

When applied underneath makeup it makes the concealer to blend easily but the most important thing to remember while using this cream is use a very little amount and let it absorb for a while.
As for fine lines, it hasn’t done anything to reduce them but we all know that moisturizing is the key to prevent fine lines so I think it can be a good product in the long run as it’s very moisturizing.
You can get it through any oriflame’s consultant. It’s also available online, I got mine from Daraz.pk for around Rs.450.

That's it for today..
I'll be back soon till then take care...

My first YouTube video... Easy everyday hairstyle

Hello beauties!

I have an announcement and that is I have finally started my YouTube channel which I wanted to do for ages.
I had plans of starting a YouTube channel even before I started this blog but my plans never got executed because I wasn’t brave enough. Being on camera is difficult, I realized it when I filmed my first video but never got the courage to upload it. But now I have filmed a hair tutorial again. The video doesn’t look perfect though as I shot it without any proper lighting but I am uploading it anyways. Have a look at my first video.
The hairstyle is very simple and casual you can wear it anywhere you want from school, college to casual lunch with friends or to mall. You can add some accessories like pearls or beads and it will be good for weddings. :)

Hope you like it :)

That’s it for today I’ll be back soon till then take care…

Mistakes and Regrets- relating to eyes

Hello beauties!

At some point in our life we all do things which we shouldn’t do because we are unaware of their harmful consequences and sometimes even when we know they are going to be harmful we do them anyway. I too have made a few mistakes in the past which I regret now and today I am going to talk about some of these..
As you may have noticed that I am not very good at updating the blog these days it was partly because I was busy with work and was not feeling inspired to write but there was also another reason and it was that my eyes were not behaving very good in the past few weeks. I made a few mistakes in the past which caused these eye problems.
There are somethings which are surefire ways to damage your eyes and I have learned it hard way but I don’t want it to happen to anyone else and that is why I have decided to share my mistakes with you so that you can avoid these and take good care of your eyes. So let’s get started:

Wearing contact lenses for long hours:

I need to wear either glasses or contact lenses all the time as I am practically blind without them. I have been wearing contact lenses for years and never had any problem with them as I take care of my lenses more than anything (if you wanna have some tips check out my post here) but a few months back my eyes started getting really dry which caused itching and irritation and that happened because of wearing contact lenses for long hours (I used to wear contact lenses for more than 9 hours every single day BTW).
So I went to the doctor and he suggested me some eye drops. Thankfully the problem never got severe but I learned the lesson that I need to reduce the time during which I wear lenses.

Rubbing my eyes:

I don’t know how and when it all started but for as long as I can remember I have always had this bad habit of rubbing my eyes. My habit was so bad that I started developing fine lines under my eyes even before I turned 20.
Rubbing your eyes not only cause wrinkles and aging it also cause infections and may damage the vision. So yea, that’s scary!
I am still struggling to get rid of this devastating habit. :(

Keeping the brightness too high:

We live in the age and society where it’s almost impossible to avoid using cell phones and other gadgets but there are ways through which we can reduce their harmful effects. I used to keep the brightness of my phone and laptop’s screen at maximum which caused eyestrain and made me rub my eyes even more :(
So the advice is: Adjust the brightness according to your surroundings so you are not putting strain to your eyes it's better to keep the brightness on auto mode. Also give your eyes regular breaks to reduce the strain you put on your eyes.

Forgetting my sunglasses most of the time I go out:

I don’t think I need to stress on the importance of wearing sunglasses. I always knew how important it is to protect my eyes from UV rays and I always loved buying trendy sunglasses but I don’t know why it always happens that whenever I am going out I forget my shades at home. :(
Now I have started keeping a pair of shades in my bag.

So that’s it for today. Tell me in the comments if you have made any beauty or health mistakes in the past which you regret now.

P.S since eyes are such an important part of us I have decided to dedicate this whole month to eyes so I’ll be posting lots of stuff relating to eyes in this month. Stay tuned!

The best hair straighteners

Hello everyone!

Sleek straight hair never go out of style. You can wear them at every occasion in every season at any time of the day and they will look appropriate.

Image from google

Those who are not blessed with straight hair try different things to get them. Over the years many treatments and technologies have been introduced to get those sleek, straight locks like rebounding and Brazilian and Japanese treatments which straighten your hair permanently but of course they are expensive and can cause a lot of damage to your hair if you don’t take proper care.
Because of these reasons many women rely on flat irons and other such tools to straighten their hair temporarily.
I naturally have straight hair so I don't use straighteners but growing up I have seen my sister struggling with different hair straighteners. Her hair are wavy and she is happy with them so she never went for any permanent treatment but occasionally she would straighten them with flat irons and choosing a flat iron that actually does the job was a difficult task for her.
There are many types of straighteners available in the market but most of us don’t know which one should we choose and more often than not we end up choosing the wrong one. So I decided to do some research and write a post that would help my readers and today I am sharing with you guys a few things that I have learned about hair straighteners that can help you choose the best straightening tool for you. So let's get started:

For fine hair :
Fine hair are likely to burn easily so its better to buy a flat iron in which you can adjust the temperature so that you can adjust the heat as per your need. Also, ceramic is softer on hair that makes it ideal for fine hair so its better to choose an iron with ceramic plates.

For thick hair:
Irons with wider plates are better for thick, coarse and long hair as they straighten the hair faster.
In general, the thicker your hair the more advanced flat iron you should buy. Tourmaline and titanium plates work best for this type of hair.

When you are in hurry:
Hair straightening brushes have been very popular among you-tubers and bloggers recently. I have seen mixed reviews about these brushes but I think they are great for times when you are in hurry and need to straighten your hair really fast. Fast hair straightener brushes are easier to use and take less time as they also detangle the hair while straightening them.

For Short hair:
For short hair it’s better to use a smaller iron as they give more control and precision. One inch iron is the standard size which works for almost every hair type but irons smaller than one inch are good for short hair as they allow you to iron small sections.

On budget:
If you like wearing your hair straight sometimes and curly others, you can get a multi-functional iron. Personally I believe more in products that are made for a specific task but if you want to save yourself space and money hair irons with changeable plates are available in the market like this one

I naturally have straight hair so I don’t use any hair straighteners but I have done a lot of research to gather all this information. I hope this post is helpful for you but these are just a few guidelines and I recommend that you do your research before going shopping or before buying any beautyproducts online. You might find yourself inclined towards the cheapest or the cutest looking option available but they are not always the best ones so I recommend you read some reviews about that particular product before buying it.

That’s it for today
I’ll be back soon till then take care…
