Makeup Revolution Liquid Eyeliner Ultra Black- Review and Swatches

Hello everyone!

I am back with another Friday favorites post and today I am going to talk about Makeup Revolution’s Liquid Eyeliner.
I bought this eyeliner about a month ago, used it a few times and now featuring it in my Friday favorites post. It’s going to be a really short review as I did not find any negative things in this product… so without further ado let’s get started:

Packaging:

The eyeliner comes in a black plastic bottle with a brush in its cap. MAKEUP REVOLUTION was written in golden letters on the bottle but it faded away very quickly just in a week or two.

Pros and Cons:

The best thing about this eyeliner was its stiff brush which gives me a lot of control and makes the application very easy.

The eyeliner is very intense black which is a positive point but it does not live up to its claim of lasting all day, it stays on for up to 3-4 hours if not come into contact with water (another waterproof version of this eyeliner is also available but mine is not waterproof ). It does not smudge but after 3-4 hours it starts fading unevenly and remember I have very dry eyelids so I think if you have oily eyelids it won’t stay for that long.

Another point worth mentioning about this eyeliner is that it does not irritate my eyes even though I have very sensitive eyes.

Availability:

In the end I'd say it is an amazing product available at very affordable price. I got mine from daraz.pk for Rs.300/-.

That’s it for today…
I’ll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments about your favorite eyeliners…

Eid ul Adha- Outfit of the day

Hello beauties!

Eid Mubarak :)

I am back with another post and since its eid I have decided to show you guys what I wore on eid. But this time I am showing it to you in the form of a video.

I wanted to get a fancy outfit for eid as I told you in my last post here but because of the hot weather of Karachi I never got the courage to buy any fancy or bling kind of outfit and so I went for a simple cotton shirt with organza details and net sleeves. I got this shirt a day before eid from a local shop in my area.
The shoes are from 1st step and I have also included the clips of makeup products I used to get the look. So girls check out and let me know what you think in the comments.

That's it for today...
I'll be back soon

Makeup Kits for Girls- Beginners

Hello beauties!

Welcome to the blog once again. It's been a long time since I posted anything here and it was because I was busy with my exams but now I am resuming blogging with a post especially requested by one of my friends who is a novice to makeup. She asked me to write about "what makeup products should a girl buy as a beginner".
I think these are seven makeup essentials that a girl should buy when she's starting out with makeup:
  1. Concealer
  2. Foundation/ BB/ CC cream/ tinted moisturizer.
  3. Blush on
  4. Mascara
  5. Eyeliner
  6. Setting/ Translucent powder.
  7. Lipstick
  8. Eyeshadows
I am going to talk about all these products in detail but in three different posts and today is the first post of the series in which I am going to talk about four products which are easily available in palettes. Since most of the beginners don't want to spend a lot of money on makeup it's a good idea to buy palettes as they give you a variety of shades at affordable price. So here I am sharing a few makeup kits/ palettes which are a good value for money.
So let's get started:

Concealer:
A concealer is used to hide blemishes and dark circles. It can also be used to brighten up the areas of the face which you want to highlight.
Image from MUA's website

These palettes have a variety of shades ranging from dark to light so they can also be used for contouring as well.

Blush-On:
When we apply makeup the natural color of our cheeks hides behind the foundation so we need a blush to get back that natural color. Some good blusher palettes are:
  • Atiqa Odho's blush on Kit.
  • Makeup Revolution's Ultra Blush palettes.
  • e.l.f- Cream blush palette and e.l.f powder blush palette.
  • BH cosmetics- professional blush palette (contains neutral to vibrant shades with shimmery as well as matte finishes).
Eyeshadows:
Personally I am not an eyeshadow person I prefer colored eyeliners over eye shadows but if you prefer eyeshadows I think its better to start with nudes.
These are some eye shadow palettes which are great in quality and are super affordable:
  • Makeup Revolution- I heart obsession palettes (5 different palettes in nudes as well as vibrant shades).
  • Atiqa Odho- Eye shadow kit (25 colors- from nudes to bold and vibrant shades)
  • Lakme makeup kit- Lakme 9 to 5 eye quartet.
  • BH cosmetics- 120 color eyeshadow palettes (6 editions available)
  • Makeup Revolution- Iconic palettes ( all natural and nude shades)
Lipsticks:

It's a bit tricky to apply lipstick from a palette with a brush so I think its better to have at least one regular go to lipstick or lip gloss (preferably nude shade) that you can easily use anywhere. But for other shades these palettes are great.
Image from MUA's website

  • BH Cosmetics- 28 color lipstick palettes available in nudes and ultimates.
  • NYX- Pro lip cream palette available in nudes, pinks, reds and plums.
  • MUA- Pro paintbox lip palette also available in nudes, reds and plums.
I haven't used all of these products but I have read good reviews about them but still I recommend that you do your research before buying any of these things. Especially before you buy makeup online you should read some detailed reviews to see whether the product will suit your skin type and your skin tone.
That's it for today. I hope you find this post helpful.
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which are your favorite makeup palettes.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara

Hello beauties!

I am back with another product review and this time it is Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara.
This mascara came out ages ago. When it was launched I really wanted to try it because of all the hype in the beauty bloggers world but where I live it wasn't available for a long time, I tried searching for it but then lost hope and totally forgot about it but then last month I got this cute little thing as a gift and now here I am sharing my thoughts about it.

I am already a fan of maybelline's mascras, I love their "Colossal volum express mascara" and the "great lash mascara" so naturally I had high hopes with this one as well. So read on to find if it has lived up to my expectations or not...

It comes in a fat plastic packaging similar to other maybelline mascaras. The bottle is in a pretty rose gold colour with Name printed in emerald green (it's the waterproof version). It has a sweet yet chemically fragrance but I can only smell it when I bring the brush near my nose, I don't feel any fragrance after applying the mascara.

The most important thing in a mascra is its brush... right? and I must say that maybelline has put some serious efforts in designing this brush. The wand is a little curved on one side and it has shorter bristles on the curved side, rest of the brush has longer bristles. I think the brush is the best part of this mascara because it really gives a lot of volume to my lashes while keeping them separate from each other.

The formula of this mascara is quite runny and wet so I need to keep my eyes shut for a while to let it dry otherwise it gets to all over my lids. This mascara gives a decent length to my lashes and also the right amount of volume. It doesn't make my lashes too long which I like because I have really hooded eyes and if my lashes are too long they constantly touch the hood of my eyes and the mascara starts smudging so even this con has become a plus for me.  :)

The staying power is great, I wear this mascara to work almost everyday and it stays on my eyes all day long without smudging or flaking. Another plus point is this mascara is not very difficult to remove like other maybelline mascaras (seriously the colossal volume express one is really hard to get rid of). I just use a cotton swab/tissue dipped in makeup remover and wipe it off lightly.
It's available for Rs.1350/- on daraz.pk.

Overall I think it is a good mascara for everyday use nothing too dramatic but the right amount of volume and length. I would recommend this to everyone for everyday use.

That's it for today girls...
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which is your favourite everyday mascara...

Tips For Contact Lens Wearers..

Hello beauties!

As you all would probably know by now (after seeing all my pictures) that I wear contact lenses almost all the time (at least 8 hours a day), people keep asking me questions like doesn't it hurt or irritate you?
I hear horrible comments and stories about contact lenses all the time but I have been wearing them on a daily basis for about 6-7 years and I have never had any serious problems except that sometimes I feel a little dryness for which I use eye drops (recommended by my doctor) or rose water and it goes away (remeber to remove contacts before using any eyedrops). But yes I do take care of my contact lenses and of my eyes more than anything else in the world.  Here, I am sharing a few things which I do and I think every girl who loves doing makeup and wears contact lenses should do:

Put on Contacts before makeup:
I always put on my contact lenses before any makeup especially eye makeup because if you apply it after doing all your makeup it is more likely that they will come in contact with your lashes or lids or lash line and the products will transfer to them. Also, I remove my lenses before removing my makeup.

Apply mascara from middle of the lashes to tips:
Another tip is I apply mascara only on the length of my lashes leaving the roots untouched i.e. I start from the middle of the lashes not from the roots. This not only makes the contact lenses safe but also keeps my lashes looking natural.

Keep tightlining to minimum:
I am a fan of tightlining as I think it is the best way to apply eyeliner on my eyes without covering my already non-existent lids. But as much as I love tightlining my eyes I know it can affect my contacts and I try to keep the tight lining to minimum.

Do not rub your eyes:
If I ever feel any irritation or itching in my eyes I immediately remove my lenses. You should never rub your eyes when you are wearing contact lenses as the makeup will get into your eyes and the residues of makeup will create a film on lenses and you know what will happen next..

Do not use false lashes:
I never use false eyelashes and I suggest you too to keep it to minimum i.e. for some special occassions only and be very careful while applying glue.

Avoid High temperature:
And the most important is you should never ever go near heat when you are wearing lenses. If you are planning to blow dry your hair or cook or anything that involves high temperature do it before you put on your contacts. The contact lenses are made of plastic and the high temperature may cause them to melt and it can cause some real damage to the eyes.

Also make sure that you keep your lenses, lens case, makeup brushes and makeup products clean and never sleep with your contact lenses on.

Hope this post has helped you in some way :)

That's it for today..
I'll be back soon...
Till then take care Bubye...

New Year wishes and Oriflame Very Me clickit black liquid eyeliner's review and swatch

Hello beauties!

I'm back with another post. Since it is going to be the last post of the year I wanted to write something about the new year but I don't want to bore you with same old new year new beginning kinda messages or with sharing new year's resolutions so I am just wishing you a very Happy new year.

And now I am sharing another product review and this time it is a liquid eyeliner. I love liquid liners but only those which come with a perfect brush and a formula that dries out fast on my eyes and is waterproof. So did this oriflame very me clickit eyeliner impress me?  Read on to find out..

These eyeliners come in grey, brown, blue, green and black colours but I have the black one only.

It comes in a small plastic bottle with brush in the cap like all liquid eyeliners. The bottle is black in colour and all details are written on it in silver letters which fade very quickly and the eyeliner starts looking really old very soon.

Now comes the most important part and that it is its brush. The brush is really thin with tight bristles which makes it easier to control the amount and shape, the brush is the best thing about this eyeliner. The only issue with the brush is its size but oriflame has a clickit connector which can be attached to the liner and other products of this range so the issue of size has been resolved in this way. This connector can be bought separately.

I have been using this eyeliner for a few months and most of the times I have put it on my eyelids I have felt that it stings but this itchy feeling goes away after a few minutes. My sister has also used this eyeliner but she never felt that so I think it may be because of my dry eyelids and lash line.

The eyeliner does not smudge and stays on for a very long time like upto 6-7 hours if it is not rubbed or touched with water (it is not waterproof) but it feels a little heavy on the lids, I mean it doesn't really bother me but I can feel that I have something on my lashline.

Oriflame's products are available on daraz.pk and just4girls.pk and also you can get them through oriflame's consultants if you know any.
I would recommend this eyeliner to you if you are looking for a budget friendly eyeliner in small packaging or if you are new to eyeliner thing because the brush is great for beginners, it helps in controlling the amount and precise application of liner but keep in mind that it is not waterproof.

That's it for today..
I'll be back soon till then take care

I wish all the best things for you in the upcoming year :)
