Trendy Jewellery and Watches....

Hello beauties!

It is said that Accessories are like vitamins to fasion. The right jewellery and accessories can turn an ordinary outfit into a fashion statement piece.

Jewlery is like the perfect spice,  it always complements what's already there. Right accessories make an outfit complete and appropriate for any occasion.

I remember when I was younger I used to collect all kinds of colorful jewellery but now I am more into silver and pearl jewellery. My preferences for jewellery have changed over the time but my love for jewellery is still there. I am still a jewellery hoarder.
Whenever I find a new store the first section I check is their accessories section and if I like their accessories collection the store is a hit for me. Today I am going to share one such website with you which has a wide variety of beautiful jewellery ranging from everyday wear to a more formal heavier jewellery.

Check out some of my favorites from their online jewellery collection.

They also have some trendy and stylish ladies watches at amazing prices.
These are some of my favourites from their collection.

That's it for today...
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which is your favourite jewelry item.

Lasagne with White Sauce recipe

Hello beauties!
I am back with another post. But this post is going to be totally different from my regular posts because today I am going to share a food recipe with you. I am not much into cooking and even when I want to try some recipes I never find time to do so becuase of my busy routine.
But then on one fine weekend I decided to try my hands at cooking. My mom was planning to make lasagne that day and I said Mom you take some rest,  I'll do the cooking today (but she stayed with me in the kitchen all the time because she didn't have trust on me :/).

I googled a few recipes for making lasagne and eventually decided to make the white sauce one becuase I like everything with white sauce be it pasta or lasagne or anything.

So I started cooking/baking and everybody at my home was sure that I am going to make a disaster soon (I'll share my first baking experience some other time :p).  But I was very cautious this time and you can see the result.

sorry I did not take any good pictures because I had no plans of posting this online

Okh,  enough of my ramblings...  let's move on to the recipe...

First I cooked 1/2 kg ground beef with a little water and salt and then added the following ingredients
1 chopped onion,
1 tomato
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
Just a pinch of oregano
1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon pepper.
And then let it cook till it was completely dry and cooked. (For about 20-25 minutes).

In another pan I boiled the lasagne sheets (I just added some salt along with water and sheets and let them cook).
In the meanwhile I took another pan and made the white sauce...
I melted 2 tablespoons of butter and then added 3 tablespoons of all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper each and mixed them together.
Then I gradually added 2 cups of milk while constantly stirring the mixture and when it became thick I removed it from the heat.
Then I added 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese into this sauce and the sauce is done.
Then came the time to mix all these things.
In a baking dish I set the lasagne sheets and put the beef and white sauce and 1 cup of cheese in layers on these sheets and then added another layer of lasgne sheets on top.

After that I just put the dish in the preheated oven for around 30-35 minutes and thats it.
When I tasted this lasagne I couldn't believe that I made this because I wasn't expecting such a good result after my first failed baking attempt but it was yummy.  I know that sounds like boasting but honestly it was delicious. Now, I am really motivated to try some other recipes as well so you should expect more food posts now but that's it for today...

I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments how was your first cooking experience.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen review

Hello beauties!

I am back with another product review and this time it is a sunblock i.e. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen.  I have known this product for ages, it is one of my holy grail products. Many of my friends have asked me about a good sunscreen and I always recommend this one to everyone so lets move on to see the reasons why I like this product.

Packaging:
The sunblock comes in an 88 ml blue and white plastic tube. One tube last me a long time i.e around 4-5 months.

Frangrance:
The product is a thick white cream which smells like medicines but the smell is not overpowering and fades away after a while.

Details and my experience:
The product is lightweight but the texture is quite thick so I do not find it very comfortable to blend it into my face but once it's blended it doesn't feel heavy.  At first the cream feels sticky but this feeling fades away after drying. I always wait for 4-5 minutes before putting on any makeup to let this sunscreen absorb into my skin.
The thing I don't like about most sunblocks is they are greasy and in summers they make my face sweat a lot, this one however gives somewhat drier touch and my makeup stays on longer if I am wearing this underneath. I mean it's not completely oil free, it gives a dewy finish but it's not as greasy as other sunblocks.
Also,  this product doesn't clog my pores and has never made me breakout in any season but yes it does leave a white cast on my face which looks really awkward especially in photographs so I need to balance it out with some kind of makeup.

Most important thing is this sunblock is amazing at protecting my skin from sunburns. My skin is really sensitive when it comes to sunburns so using a good sunblock is a must for me in any season, I have been using this sunblock for years and I love that it protects my skin from sunburns and tanning. I have tried a few others but always came back to this one because of its lightweight and non-greasy formula and its ability to protect my skin from sun damage.

Overall it's an amazing product and is easily available everywhere also it is pocket friendly which is another plus. I got mine from a local supersore at Rs.1250/-.

That's it for today I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which is your favourite sunblock.
Enjoy the sunmer but protect yourself from heat and sun.

Budget Eyeliner Pencils

Hello beauties!

Today after a long time I am going to talk about some eye stuff. I am an eyeliner lover. And of course black eyeliner is a classic but using black all the time can be boring so I like wearing coloured eyeliners.  Today I am sharing some budget eyeliner pencils with you that I have been trying recently and which I think are great in terms of both quality and price.

Christine eyeliner pencils:
These are I think the most popular eyeliner and lipliner pencils in Pakistan. I have been seeing them at almost every cosmetics shop since I was a kid.
These are wooden sharpable pencils in black color with a silver cap. The lower end of each pencil is colored with its shade.  The first thing that I want in an eyeliner pencil is that it should apply smoothly and this is the reason I am loving these pencils because their texture is creamy and the color shows up in just one or two swipes without rubbing them on the lids.  There's a large variety of shades available.  I have used a number of shades from this brand and pigmentation of all of these pencils is amazing. The staying power depends on the color i.e. darker shades stay on longer than the lighter one's but these pencils are not water proof or smudge proof. Here are the swatches of two of these pencils. The pink one is a lipliner but I use it on my lower waterline sometimes to brighten up my eyes.

Electric Blue 380
Pretty Pink 325

Glamorous Face:
These are also wooden sharpable pencils colored in the shade of liner with a plastic cap.  I have used a few pencils from this brand in the past but currently I only have these two in yellow and white.
The yellow/ gold pencil has a little shimmer but the white one is matte.  I use shade no.5 (white) on my lower water line it can also be used as an eyeshadow base.
Again like christine ones they do not last long and are not smudge and water proof. The staying power varies with the shade though.

No. 5 Yellow
No. 15 white

Third is clazona:
I have recently seen this brand in many local cosmetics shops and bought a few items including these eyeliner pencils.  These pencils are also super affordable and a wide range of shades is available. I only have two shades from this brand but I swatched a few shades before buying these two and I found that most of these eyeliners have little shimmery particles in them. The darker shades are more pigmented as compared to the lighter ones. None of the shades stay on my lids for more than one and a half hour or may be 2 hours at most.

So these are some really good and affordable eyeliner pencils which are easily available in Pakistan. All of them are creamy and easy to apply which is the best part and also they have never irritated my eyes. Their prices range between Rs.40-60 per pencil which is amazing.

That's is for today
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments have you ever used any of these eyeliner pencils?

Summer shopping...

Hello beauties!
How are you all doing? Enjoying summer? Nah?
Me too.. :(
I am not enjoying at all. I am not a summer person I like winters more than any other season but being a Karachiite I have to bear with summer for almost ten months in a year. Even our fall and spring has summer in it. It's only the start of march and it's supposed to be spring but we already have scorching sun on our heads. I dont like this, I am already missing winter which did not come to Karachi this year.
But no matter how much I love winters the summers are approaching fast so its better that I start preparing for it instead of complaining.. right?

To prepare for summer we need to do a lot of shopping but getting outside and shopping in the scorching sun is not something we are fond of right? In this situation online shopping websites come to our rescue. So today I am going to share one such website with you.
Pakstyle.pk is one such website which has a large variety of products from fashion to household and electronic items in all price range. It is basically a portal through which different sellers showcase and sell their products.

Whenever I think of summer shopping the first thing that comes to my mind is lawn and its not my fault we women are forced by these brands to think about nothing but lawn.
Even before the summer arrives we are bombarded with tempting billboards and TV advertisments of lawns so it's difficult to resist. Pakstyle.pk has an irresistible collection of lawn dresses most of which are really affordable and amazing. I am sharing some of my favourites below but you can find their complete women's lawn collection 2016 here.

Besides lawn it is also a great website for other ladies clothes online shopping . They also have a large variety of other women clothing items like tights, cigarette pants, shawls and scarves and tops. Check out their full collection.

That's it for today
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which is your favourite season and what is your favourite part of summer.

Makeup Revolution Cover and Conceal Palette- Review and swatches

Hello beauties!

I am back with a post that was long overdue.
I bought this Makeup Revolution's cover and conceal palette over a year ago and then totally forgot to post my review. But recently I started using it frequently and decided to share my experience with you. So read on to find out my thoughts on this palette.

Starting with the packaging:

It comes in a sophisticated black plastic packaging with a big mirror inside. The packaging is quite decent considering that its a budget brand. I like to keep this palette in my bag because of this huge mirror.

Shades:
These palettes are available in 3 shades light,  light-medium and dark and each palette contains 8 shades so you are going to find one of these concealers suitable for you no matter what skin tone you are.
I have this palette in light-medium. The palette contains 8 shades from light to medium with pink and yellow undertones.

Normal light

With flash

My experience:
These concealers give medium coverage and they are greasy in texture.
I like concealers that give full coverage without setting under fine lines under my eyes so I don't like using this palette for concealing any blemishes or undereye cirlces but i like using this palette for highlighting my cheekbones and bridge of my nose because they give a dewy finish.

I have the palette in light-medium so none of the shades are dark enough for contouring except the last one which i sometimes use for light and subtle contouring along with a contouring powder and I think its good for contouring as well as highlighting.

Besides coverage, another con I found in this palette is when I use them for covering my dark undereye circles these concealers take ages to blend. I blend them with damp sponge and they take a lot of effort to blend completely and then they set into the fine lines under my eyes. Even after setting with powder they start creasing in few hours and thats why i don't like using it as a concealer.

As far as the staying power is concerned they stay intact for as long as I want if I use a good mattifying primer underneath and even without primer they stay good (a little dewy of course) for upto 5-6 hours on my normal/combination skin but for my under eye circles they start creasing in maximum 2 hours.

Overall i would say its a good palette for highlighting and  contouring but not for covering and concealing. Considering that we get 8 shades in Rs. 1250/- I think it's a great value for money.

Availability and price:
Makeup revolution products are available at daraz.pk in pakistan and you can also order from their own website from anywhere in the world, they ship worldwide.

That's it for today..
I'll be back soon
till then take care and tell me in the comments which is your favourite concealer...I love hearing from you :)
