My Makeup Routine For College and My Holy Grail Products

Hello beauties!
Today I am going to talk about my  makeup routine that I wear to  college and with that I'm also sharing my holy grail products that I use almost every day.

I have my classes early in the morning on weekends which I absolutely hate and getting up early to do my makeup is something which I can't do especially on weekends so I have made a minimal makeup routine that I follow on almost every weekend morning. Since its a look for college I prefer to keep my makeup as natural as possible.
Ok now lets move on to my makeup steps:

First I wash my face with a facewash. Currently, i am using VLCC's Tomato and Mandarin face wash and Oriflame 5 in 1 gel wash.

After letting it dry I apply Neutrogena sunscreen on my face and then I do my hair.

After that I just apply a bb cream. My holy grail is Maybelline's bb cream but sometimes I also use oriflame one. Then I set it with a compact powder.

After bb cream i just swipe any one brown colour eyeshadow all over my lids and then highlight the inner corners and lower water line with a white pencil. I also tightline my upper lashline with a black pencil.

For these steps I use the following products:

I heart obsession palette either in born to die or pure cult.

Cristine white liner pencil

Diana of London black liner pencil

Then I apply a blush, my everyday favourite is maybelline's bouncy blush in pink frosting I find it easier to blend this blush with my fingers so I don't use any brush.
My go to lips for college is Korean gradient lips because they look natural and youthful and are perfect for college.
I'll show you How i do gradient lips at the end of the post.

At the end I put on mascara. The trick I use here is I just apply mascara on the length of my lashes but not on the roots, it gives a more natural look. My go to mascara is maybelline's colosal volume mascara.

How I do gradient lips?

While applying bb cream on my face I put it on my lips also (you can use a concealer but in the mornings I usually dont have time to use many products so i just use the same bb cream)

After that I apply any red or orange lipstick just on the central half of my lips. Then i just apply a clear lipgloss all over the lips and done.

That’s it for today…

I ‘ll be back soon till then take care

Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette- Mermaids and Unicorns Review

Hello Beauties!

So today I am back with another product review and this time it is an eye shadow palette by Makeup Revolution. A few months back Makeup Revolution launched its Unicorns and Mermaids Redemption Palette and I immediately fell in love with this but I never bought it because I rarely wear such vibrant and bold colors on my lids and I didn’t want to waste my money on something I’d never use. But I got the opportunity to try this palette when one of my friends bought it on a black Friday sale and boy! I am in love with this all over again.

The shadows come in a simple plastic package with a transparent lid with makeup revolution written on it in gold letters. The palette also has an applicator.

The palette has twelve eyeshadow colors. Shade 1, 2 and 3 are different hues of green and 4, 5 and 6 are blues representing the sea and mermaid side of the palette.

The last six shades are different shades of purple and grey.

All the shades are intensely pigmented except the first one (light green) which takes two to three swipes to actually show the color.  See the swatches:

I have used three eyeshadow palettes from makeup revolution till now and now I can vouch that they have an amazing staying power at such low price. This palette is available at Makeup Revolution’s website and in Pakistan at daraz.pk for Rs. 950/-.

That’s it for today I’ll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments what do you think of this palette..

Healing Cracked Heels in Winter...

Hello beauties!

I'm back with another post and as winters are officially here now I am going to talk about winters.

Winter is my favourite time of the year. Coffee, Dry fruits, Cardigans and jackets, laying in bed all day on weekends doing nothing I love all that. But with winters come dry skin, chapped lips and cracked heels which is the worst part of winter season.
We use lots of things for our face and lips but most of the times we neglect our heels which become dry and eventually cracked so today I am sharing something with you that I use for healing my heels. I have tried some foot creams and although they work great I think there can't be anything better than a DIY foot mask.

I have tried many DIY recipes and some of them have actually worked for me but this one is my favourite as it gives very fast result. So read on to find out what I do to cure my cracked heels.

Image from google

Method:

Before I go to bed I soak my feet in warm water with salt for around 5- 10 minutes and then scrub the dead skin off with a pumice stone.

Then I apply a mixture of Glycerine, rosewater and lemon juice on my feet and leave it overnight. I add all the ingredients in equal quantity but you can reduce the quantity of glycerine if you don't like that sticky feeling on your feet. Plus I sleep with my socks on so the stickiness doesn't bother me.
This DIY recipe is my holy grail. I have been using it for years, it makes my feet really soft and moisturised and I recommend everyone to try this.

I hope you like this post. Tell me in the comments would you try this DIY recipe?

That's it for now I'll be back soon till then take care..

Hair contouring- The IT hair for 2016...

Hello beauties!
How are you doing? I'm back to the blogging world after a long break but now I promise I am here to stay.
Today I am going to talk about a new hair trend with you and it is hair contouring. Yes! after contouring with makeup and strobing for enhancing our facial features now we have hair contouring (like learning the makeup contouring techniques wasn't difficult enough... but the best part about hair contouring is it is done by a professional so you do not need to learn much about it).

Have you ever seen a celebrity and thought wow their new hair make their face look totally different?  This is because their hair have been contoured strategically to give them that perfect face shape.
Hair contouring is strategically using highlights and lowlights in the hair to get your desired face shape. The principle is the same as in any other form of art which is using lighter shades for the areas we want to highlight and darker for the areas which we don't want to be seen.
Many Hollywood celebrities now wakeup with a perfectly contoured face without putting on any makeup. Have a look at some of these celebrities:

Jessica Alba hair contouring
Drew Barrymore hair contouring

Until recently I did not know that there is something like hair contouring but now when I know about it I really want to try it.

What do you think of this hair trend? Would you like to try it? Tell me in the comments

That's it for now
I'll be back soon
Till then Bubye
Take care :)

Make up Revolution Ultra Face Base Primer- Review

Hello beauties!

How are you all doing? Sorry I have been MIA from blogging for a while as last few weeks were very hectic. I was busy with work and studies and a lots of other things but now I am back. I have my exams in December so Iam not going to be as active but today I am here to share just a quick post.
Today's post is going to be a product review and it is a makeup primer. Until recently I used to think that we do not need makeup primer at all and just using a moisturizer underneath my foundation is fine because many makeup artists say that using a primer gives a more made up and artificial look and it does not have a very Big effect on staying power of makeup so its not worth using.
But then one day I saw this Makeup Revolutions ultra face base primer and since it was so inexpensive I thought of giving it a try. So did this poduct change my beliefs or not? Read on for details...

First the packaging:
It comes in a very light pink squeezy plastic tube with a leakage proof black cap that makes it perfectly travel-friendly.

Brands Claims:
Our ULTRA Face Base primer is the perfect primer to provide the perfect base under your foundation. It smoothes out the skin to create an even canvas so your foundation is flawless and lasts all day!

Ingredients:
Propylparaben, Methylparaben, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer. Oh it has lots of paraben which is not good for our skin ( you can read details in this post).

Details:
The product is a thick transpsarent gel having a silicon like texture and I love how soft it feels when I apply it on my face. I tried applying it underneath a bb cream, liquid and mousse foundation and I felt that it makes the blending and application very easy, quick and smooth.
My pores are not that visible and a regular foundation does a pretty good job of covering them so I don't know if it actually helps in giving a poreless application but yes I can vouch that it increases the longevity of my makeup. I have a normal/ combination skin so after few hours of wearing makeup my nose and chin starts getting oily but for more than a month I am using this primer and it keeps my face matte whole day . I wear my makeup everyday in the morning at around 8:30 AM and it stays there until I get back home from work which is around 6-7 in the evening and that makes about 11 hours so I think it lives upto its claim of increasing makeup staying power.

How to use:
I first apply sunscreen and moisturizer on my face and let them set in after that I just apply a very little amount of primer and let it sit for 1-2 minutes and then carry on with my makup.

The thing I like most about this primer is I just need a very little amount of it. I have been using this tube for more than a month now and still it is nowhere near end.

Price and availability:
It is available on makeup revolutions's website. In Pakistan, I got mine from daraz.pk around two months ago for Rs.850/- but I don't know why I can not find it on their website now.
I would recommend this primer to everyone because it is budget friendly and does a very good job and yes now I am convinced that investing in a makeup primer is a good idea especially if you want to wear makeup for long hours.
Hope this review is helpful for you. Tell me do you use primers underneath you makeup or not?
That's it for today

Oriflame Essentials 5 in 1 Gel Wash- Review

Hello beauties!
How are you doing?
Today I am going to talk about a face wash. No one can deny that face wash is one of the most important products for all of us. We all have those moments when we are too lazy to remove our makeup and cleanse our face and in those moments face washes come handy.
I am a hoarder for skin care products and I love trying out new products especially face washes. Sometime back may be more than a year ago my sister ordered some stuff from oriflame and it included a face wash i.e Oriflame's Essentials 5 in 1 Fairness Gel Wash. I used it for sometime and then switched to another face wash and totally forgot about it but now 2 months back I saw it again in a catalog and ordered it and since than I am using it regularly. This time I got the face wash along with the day cream of this range but I have not used that cream much so right now I am just sharing my thoughts about the face wash here and will be reviewing the day cream soon.

It is a off white gel wash with mild cosmetic smell which does not form much lather. I just take out a small amount on my palm and massage it on my wet face and then rinse off with water. It cleans the skin without making it dry and tight like most face washes do which is plus point.
I have normal/ combination skin but I get dry patches on my face every now and then. This face wash was effective for those dry patches of mine.
When I first started using it I felt irritation specially on drier areas of my face i.e around my nose and mouth but that itchy feeling last only till my face is dry and after few uses my skin got used to it and now I do not feel any irritation. I think it was because it was actively working on my dry patches. If you have sensitive skin this might be an issue for you.
If you have oily skin it might not be the right product for you as it will not keep your skin shine free for long.
As far as fairness claims go I did not find any truth in them. It did not make me fair but yes it makes my skin clear and smooth which makes the complexion look fresh.
Overall I am happy with this product but I think its a bit pricey considering that it only contains 125 ml of product in Rs.599/-.
I got mine from an Oriflame's consultant, many consultants sell online through Facebook pages. It is also available at daraz.pk for Rs.599/-.
I have tried many products from oriflame and so far I am happy with most of my purchases, have you tried any of their products especially from this essential's range?

Take care beauties!
