Hair contouring- The IT hair for 2016...

Hello beauties!
How are you doing? I'm back to the blogging world after a long break but now I promise I am here to stay.
Today I am going to talk about a new hair trend with you and it is hair contouring. Yes! after contouring with makeup and strobing for enhancing our facial features now we have hair contouring (like learning the makeup contouring techniques wasn't difficult enough... but the best part about hair contouring is it is done by a professional so you do not need to learn much about it).

Have you ever seen a celebrity and thought wow their new hair make their face look totally different?  This is because their hair have been contoured strategically to give them that perfect face shape.
Hair contouring is strategically using highlights and lowlights in the hair to get your desired face shape. The principle is the same as in any other form of art which is using lighter shades for the areas we want to highlight and darker for the areas which we don't want to be seen.
Many Hollywood celebrities now wakeup with a perfectly contoured face without putting on any makeup. Have a look at some of these celebrities:

Jessica Alba hair contouring
Drew Barrymore hair contouring

Until recently I did not know that there is something like hair contouring but now when I know about it I really want to try it.

What do you think of this hair trend? Would you like to try it? Tell me in the comments

That's it for now
I'll be back soon
Till then Bubye
Take care :)

Make up Revolution Ultra Face Base Primer- Review

Hello beauties!

How are you all doing? Sorry I have been MIA from blogging for a while as last few weeks were very hectic. I was busy with work and studies and a lots of other things but now I am back. I have my exams in December so Iam not going to be as active but today I am here to share just a quick post.
Today's post is going to be a product review and it is a makeup primer. Until recently I used to think that we do not need makeup primer at all and just using a moisturizer underneath my foundation is fine because many makeup artists say that using a primer gives a more made up and artificial look and it does not have a very Big effect on staying power of makeup so its not worth using.
But then one day I saw this Makeup Revolutions ultra face base primer and since it was so inexpensive I thought of giving it a try. So did this poduct change my beliefs or not? Read on for details...

First the packaging:
It comes in a very light pink squeezy plastic tube with a leakage proof black cap that makes it perfectly travel-friendly.

Brands Claims:
Our ULTRA Face Base primer is the perfect primer to provide the perfect base under your foundation. It smoothes out the skin to create an even canvas so your foundation is flawless and lasts all day!

Ingredients:
Propylparaben, Methylparaben, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer. Oh it has lots of paraben which is not good for our skin ( you can read details in this post).

Details:
The product is a thick transpsarent gel having a silicon like texture and I love how soft it feels when I apply it on my face. I tried applying it underneath a bb cream, liquid and mousse foundation and I felt that it makes the blending and application very easy, quick and smooth.
My pores are not that visible and a regular foundation does a pretty good job of covering them so I don't know if it actually helps in giving a poreless application but yes I can vouch that it increases the longevity of my makeup. I have a normal/ combination skin so after few hours of wearing makeup my nose and chin starts getting oily but for more than a month I am using this primer and it keeps my face matte whole day . I wear my makeup everyday in the morning at around 8:30 AM and it stays there until I get back home from work which is around 6-7 in the evening and that makes about 11 hours so I think it lives upto its claim of increasing makeup staying power.

How to use:
I first apply sunscreen and moisturizer on my face and let them set in after that I just apply a very little amount of primer and let it sit for 1-2 minutes and then carry on with my makup.

The thing I like most about this primer is I just need a very little amount of it. I have been using this tube for more than a month now and still it is nowhere near end.

Price and availability:
It is available on makeup revolutions's website. In Pakistan, I got mine from daraz.pk around two months ago for Rs.850/- but I don't know why I can not find it on their website now.
I would recommend this primer to everyone because it is budget friendly and does a very good job and yes now I am convinced that investing in a makeup primer is a good idea especially if you want to wear makeup for long hours.
Hope this review is helpful for you. Tell me do you use primers underneath you makeup or not?
That's it for today

Oriflame Essentials 5 in 1 Gel Wash- Review

Hello beauties!
How are you doing?
Today I am going to talk about a face wash. No one can deny that face wash is one of the most important products for all of us. We all have those moments when we are too lazy to remove our makeup and cleanse our face and in those moments face washes come handy.
I am a hoarder for skin care products and I love trying out new products especially face washes. Sometime back may be more than a year ago my sister ordered some stuff from oriflame and it included a face wash i.e Oriflame's Essentials 5 in 1 Fairness Gel Wash. I used it for sometime and then switched to another face wash and totally forgot about it but now 2 months back I saw it again in a catalog and ordered it and since than I am using it regularly. This time I got the face wash along with the day cream of this range but I have not used that cream much so right now I am just sharing my thoughts about the face wash here and will be reviewing the day cream soon.

It is a off white gel wash with mild cosmetic smell which does not form much lather. I just take out a small amount on my palm and massage it on my wet face and then rinse off with water. It cleans the skin without making it dry and tight like most face washes do which is plus point.
I have normal/ combination skin but I get dry patches on my face every now and then. This face wash was effective for those dry patches of mine.
When I first started using it I felt irritation specially on drier areas of my face i.e around my nose and mouth but that itchy feeling last only till my face is dry and after few uses my skin got used to it and now I do not feel any irritation. I think it was because it was actively working on my dry patches. If you have sensitive skin this might be an issue for you.
If you have oily skin it might not be the right product for you as it will not keep your skin shine free for long.
As far as fairness claims go I did not find any truth in them. It did not make me fair but yes it makes my skin clear and smooth which makes the complexion look fresh.
Overall I am happy with this product but I think its a bit pricey considering that it only contains 125 ml of product in Rs.599/-.
I got mine from an Oriflame's consultant, many consultants sell online through Facebook pages. It is also available at daraz.pk for Rs.599/-.
I have tried many products from oriflame and so far I am happy with most of my purchases, have you tried any of their products especially from this essential's range?

Take care beauties!

Clazona Lipsticks- Review and Swatches

Hello Beauties!

Today I am going to talk about every makeup junkie’s first love. Yes! You got it right I am talking about lipsticks. I have been a lipstick lover since forever.
Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.
-Gwyneth Paltrow

Recently when I was just randomly checking out a makeup store I found some clazona lipsticks, since it was the first time I saw that brand I was a little skeptical whether to buy it or not but the price was super affordable so I bought one anyway. After using the first one I bought another shade so that means I am impressed.

Packaging:
The lipsticks come in a decent bronze color plastic packaging with logo on top and shade name mentioned on a sticker at bottom, nothing fancy. The shades have numbers but no names I got shade: 344 and shade: 304.

344 is a nude shade with creamy texture. The lipstick glides on smoothly and the color shows up in one swipe. You can also swipe several times to make the color more intense. I have worn this lipstick in my look here.
The lasting power of this particular shade is not very good it only last for about 2-3 hours on my lips. The thing I did not like about this lipstick is that it settles in the fine lines so I need to be extra cautious that the lips are exfoliated before applying.

The second shade I got is 304:
The shade is orange it gives a semi- matte finish but the formula is creamy and easy to apply. It stays longer than the first shade on my lips and it does not settle in the fine lines so I think this one is my favorite among the two. It stays on my lips for about 4-5 hours and even after that it leaves a noticeable tint behind which I do not like. I am wearing this lipstick in one of my looks in this post.

Availability:
Clazona cosmetics are easily available at most of local cosmetic shops. I got the first one for Rs. 170/- and second for Rs.140/-. The prices may vary at different stores but they are under Rs.200/-
This was the first time I bought any product of this brand and I am quite satisfied with my purchases. Considering the price, the quality is great. After purchasing I searched for this brand and found some great reviews so I think I am trying out some other products of this brand in near future.
Have you tried any products from clazona cosmetics? Write back to me in comments I love hearing from you…
That's it for today… I’ll be back soon

Take care… Bubye!

DIY Room Decor- Switchboard Decor

Hello beauties!
Today I am going to share with you a switch board décor DIY. A few months back I decided to redecorate my room and at that time all I used to do was searching for room décor ideas. I saw this DIY on Pinterest and immediately decided to do it but then I got busy and all my room renovation plans got delayed. Now this weekend I finally decided to resume my room décor project and started with decorating the switchboards in my room.
Actually I am sharing not one but two DIY’sJ.
I decorated two switchboards in my room; first with a simple printed card that I cut from an old calendar and the other one with glitter.
First:
Things needed:
For this I just needed an old calendar with a picture or some print and some glue.
Directions:
1-      I measured the board with a scale and cut the old calendar equal to the size of the board.
2-      Then with a blade I made a hole on that calendar sheet equal to the size of switch/button.
3-      Then I Just pasted the sheet on the switch board with the glue.
4-      And the board is ready.
Second:
Things needed:
For this I needed some glitter and glue. I bought these bottles of glitter from a stationery shop years ago for some crafts but never used them and I also had this UHU glue at home.
Directions:
Its better if you remove the board from the wall and put it on a smooth surface but I did not know how to get it off the wall, I tried but the screws were too stubborn so I gave up and started working while the board was still on the wall.
For details about how I did this DIY read on the steps:
1-      I just took a small amount of glitter out of the bottle and put it on a piece of paper so I do not need to open and close the bottle again and again.
2-      Then I Applied UHU on a small area of the board with one of my fingers.
3-      Then with another clean finger I pressed some glitter lightly over the area on which I applied glue.
4-      I repeat it on the rest of the board till whole board is covered with glitter.
5-      And the board is ready.

Aren’t these DIY’s really simple and easy to do? What do you think about these?
That’s it for today. I hope you liked this post.
I’ll be back soon till then take care.. bubye J

I heart makeup's I heart Obsession palette in born to die- Review and swatches

Hello beauties!

Today I am going to review an eyeshadow palette for the first time on my blog. Until recently I was not very comfortable with wearing eyeshadows on my hooded eyes but then I started searching and watching tutorials on how to apply eyeshadow on hooded eyes and since then I am hooked to eye makeup.
Being a newbie I do not own many eyeshadows but I have bought some eyeshadow palettes just recently and I love playing with them. I heart makeup’s I heart Obsession range is one of the best choices for people who are new to eye makeup because you get a lot of good quality shades in very reasonable price. I wanted a neutral color palette that I can wear everywhere especially during day time so I chose the palette in “born to die” after that I have also bought “pure cult”but right now I am reviewing "born to die"only.
This palette contains 10 shadows and is a combination of matte and shimmery finishes. The shades in 1st row are shimmery whereas in 2nd row all shades are matte. All shades are reasonably pigmented but the paler shades are not as pigmented as others. Without any eye primer underneath they last for 4-5 hours on my eyes.
The palette comes in black plastic packaging with transparent lid along with a double ended sponge applicator.

The shades do not have any names so I am using numbers to identify them.

1st row
1st shade is very shimmery silver white shade with very good pigmentation and lasting power but it has an uneven texture. I use it on the inner corners of my eyes and sometimes on my brow bones as highlighter.
2nd is the tan brown shade with little shimmer.
3rd, 4th and 5th are taupe shades with reasonable pigmentation and look almost similar when applied.
6th is graphite with silver shimmer perfect for evening smoky makeup.

2nd row

7th is pale pink but when applied it looks chalky white. This is not as pigmented as other shades and is least favorite of mine.
8th and 9th are two different shades of brown i.e. light and dark.
10th is a matte gray shade.
I would recommend this palette to everyone who want a good quality work safe palette at reasonable price. The palette is available online on makeup revolution and other makeup websites, I got mine from daraz.pk for Rs.650/-.
I hope you like my review. Have you tried any of the makeup revolutions products? What do you think about them? Share your thoughts with me in the comments I love to hear from you.

Klenspop- bunny 3 color lenses Review

Hello Beauties!
Today I am going to talk about something without which I think I can not live. I have been wearing contact lenses everyday for about 7- 8 years because I don’t like wearing spectacles all the time.  I have dark brown eyes and yes I love my eye color but I also love changing eye color so I wear contact lenses in different shades.
Recently, Klenspop gave me an opportunity to try a new brand of contact lenses. I always buy contact lenses from some very reliable shops as you need to be very conscious about quality when buying such stuff so I never bought any lenses online but now I tried klenspop and my experience was amazing. Read on for details:

First: a little bit about Klenspop:
K- lenspop is a leading company of circle and cosmetic lens. They have a large variety of lenses as well as other accessories such as cosmetics, glasses and sunglasses and they ship worldwide.

Second: The packaging of the lens
The lenses I received were packed in many layers to keep them safe and secure during transit. The lenses were in glass vials which ware kept in a cardboard box and then the box was wrapped in bubble wrap and then another cardboard box.

Now details of lenses.
DIA: 14.5 mm
Graphic DIA: 13.3 mm
BC: 8.6 mm
Usage period: 6 months
I got Bunny 3 color lenses in shade gray.
The package also contains a lens case, plastic tweezers and an instruction manual.

My experience:
The color looks very light gray in the container but when I wore them they almost matched my own eye color and looked really natural. This is the reason I love the 3- color lenses because they blend with the natural eye color and do not make you look artificial. These lenses also made my hooded small eyes look a little bigger.
Since I got these lenses I am wearing them every day from 9 AM to 7 PM and I never feel that I am wearing anything in my eyes. They are very comfortable and feel very light in eyes.

I would recommend Klenspop to everyone because:
-They ship worldwide and the delivery is super fast.
-They have a huge collection of not only lenses but also of the accessories such as cosmetics, spectacles and sunglasses.
-The prices are very reasonable.

For details about shipping charges and delivery visit here.

I hope you like this post.
Bubye for now take care :)
