L.A Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer- Review and Swatches

Hello beauties!

I am back with another Friday favorites post and the product I am going to talk about today need no introduction. When these concealers were launched they became an instant hit and many beauty bloggers and You Tubers are still raving about it.
I too wanted to try these LA Girl Pro HD Concealers for a long time. I originally wanted to buy two shades one lighter shade to use as a concealer/ highlighter and the other one for contouring.
I did a lot of research to choose the right concealer shade for me and when I finally decided a shade I went to place my order on daraz.pk only to find out that shade pure beige is out of stock :( so I decided to buy only the darker shade "toast" which is most popular among Pakistani ladies for contouring. I bought this about 3-4 months back and now sharing my thoughts about it here... So let's get started:
  • The concealer comes in a plastic tube with a brush on the tip as applicator. The packaging is something I am not a fan of because whenever the tube is squeezed a lot of product comes out and deposits over the brush. So I need to be very careful before squeezing the tube and I need to clean it after every use.
  • Toast is a very browny brown shade i.e. it doesn't have orange or pink undertones its just brown.

  • The pigmentation of the concealer is intense and a very little amount is needed so I need to be very careful while squeezing it out from the tube, I usually take out the product at the back of my hand and use my fingers to put it on my face.
  • The product blends easily with a wet sponge and with fingertips but I find it difficult to blend it with any brushes as it tends to dry very quickly.
  • The staying power of this product is amazing, it's waterproof and doesn't budge all day.
  • It's easily available online on daraz.pk and other makeup selling pages at very affordable price.
So that was my mini review of the LA Girl Pro HD Concealer...
That's it for today...
I'll be back soon till then take care...

Atiqa Odho Cosmetics Contouring Powder- Review

Hello beauties!

I am back after a long time sorry for being MIA but I was busy with work and studies and with life basically.
So finally today I am going to post a short review of Atiqa Odho Contouring Powder which is lying there in my draft posts for ages. So without wasting another moment let’s get started:

Packaging:
The powder comes in a regular Atiqa odho plastic case with red lid and a transparent middle part from which the shade is visible. The case has two compartments the upper one for the product and the lower one for sponge. The sponge compartment also has a mirror. The packaging is not very sturdy but the size is perfect to carry it around in your bag.

My Experience:
The contouring powder comes in three shades walnut, chocolate and coffee. I got mine in chocolate. I bought this powder around 6-7 months ago along with the compact powder. My experience with this contouring powder is very similar to the compact powder which I have already reviewed here.
The powder looks much pigmented in the package but when applied on to the skin it hardly gives any color, it just blends into my skin without giving any contour.
I use this powder for subtle everyday contouring ( sigh! It doesn’t stay for more than 2-3 hours) but the formula is very sheer so first I apply it heavily on to my skin with the sponge and then I use the blending brush to blend. When I want a more contoured/ sculpted face I use cream contouring products and then use this powder to set the cream contour.

Atiqa Odho contouring powder in shade Chocolate- Swatch (heavy layer applied with the sponge)

The Atiqa odho contouring powder is available at daraz.pk and other makeup selling websites for Rs. 300/-. Although I am not very happy with the pigmentation and staying power, I think I will repurchase it because in Karachi’s hot weather it is necessary to set the cream contour with a powder and I haven’t found any contouring powder more affordable than this one as yet so yea! I’ll repurchase it once I finish this one.

That’s it for today… I’ll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments about your favorite contouring products.

Makeup Revolution Cover and Conceal Palette- Review and swatches

Hello beauties!

I am back with a post that was long overdue.
I bought this Makeup Revolution's cover and conceal palette over a year ago and then totally forgot to post my review. But recently I started using it frequently and decided to share my experience with you. So read on to find out my thoughts on this palette.

Starting with the packaging:

It comes in a sophisticated black plastic packaging with a big mirror inside. The packaging is quite decent considering that its a budget brand. I like to keep this palette in my bag because of this huge mirror.

Shades:
These palettes are available in 3 shades light,  light-medium and dark and each palette contains 8 shades so you are going to find one of these concealers suitable for you no matter what skin tone you are.
I have this palette in light-medium. The palette contains 8 shades from light to medium with pink and yellow undertones.

Normal light

With flash

My experience:
These concealers give medium coverage and they are greasy in texture.
I like concealers that give full coverage without setting under fine lines under my eyes so I don't like using this palette for concealing any blemishes or undereye cirlces but i like using this palette for highlighting my cheekbones and bridge of my nose because they give a dewy finish.

I have the palette in light-medium so none of the shades are dark enough for contouring except the last one which i sometimes use for light and subtle contouring along with a contouring powder and I think its good for contouring as well as highlighting.

Besides coverage, another con I found in this palette is when I use them for covering my dark undereye circles these concealers take ages to blend. I blend them with damp sponge and they take a lot of effort to blend completely and then they set into the fine lines under my eyes. Even after setting with powder they start creasing in few hours and thats why i don't like using it as a concealer.

As far as the staying power is concerned they stay intact for as long as I want if I use a good mattifying primer underneath and even without primer they stay good (a little dewy of course) for upto 5-6 hours on my normal/combination skin but for my under eye circles they start creasing in maximum 2 hours.

Overall i would say its a good palette for highlighting and  contouring but not for covering and concealing. Considering that we get 8 shades in Rs. 1250/- I think it's a great value for money.

Availability and price:
Makeup revolution products are available at daraz.pk in pakistan and you can also order from their own website from anywhere in the world, they ship worldwide.

That's it for today..
I'll be back soon
till then take care and tell me in the comments which is your favourite concealer...I love hearing from you :)

Hair contouring- The IT hair for 2016...

Hello beauties!
How are you doing? I'm back to the blogging world after a long break but now I promise I am here to stay.
Today I am going to talk about a new hair trend with you and it is hair contouring. Yes! after contouring with makeup and strobing for enhancing our facial features now we have hair contouring (like learning the makeup contouring techniques wasn't difficult enough... but the best part about hair contouring is it is done by a professional so you do not need to learn much about it).

Have you ever seen a celebrity and thought wow their new hair make their face look totally different?  This is because their hair have been contoured strategically to give them that perfect face shape.
Hair contouring is strategically using highlights and lowlights in the hair to get your desired face shape. The principle is the same as in any other form of art which is using lighter shades for the areas we want to highlight and darker for the areas which we don't want to be seen.
Many Hollywood celebrities now wakeup with a perfectly contoured face without putting on any makeup. Have a look at some of these celebrities:

Jessica Alba hair contouring
Drew Barrymore hair contouring

Until recently I did not know that there is something like hair contouring but now when I know about it I really want to try it.

What do you think of this hair trend? Would you like to try it? Tell me in the comments

That's it for now
I'll be back soon
Till then Bubye
Take care :)
