Fabrics and colors for upcoming winter season...

Hello beauties!

It's that time of the year again when we can finally get a break from lawn and bright summery colors. Winters are fast approaching and all I see on my Instagram and Facebook feeds are winter collections of various brands. The perfect pictures of models flaunting these dresses make me go head over heels for them but of course my bank account does not allow me to buy every single piece I see so I need to make choices.
The plethora of fabrics and wide variety of colors make it difficult to decide what should I invest in but asking myself these few questions before buying clothes help me get out of this dilemma.
1- How often can I wear this piece?
2- Does the color and cut flatter me?
3-  Is the dress versatile? Can I dress it up or down for different occasions and places?
4- Is the price reasonable? ( Cost Vs benefit analysis )
5- Do I already have any similar piece in my wardrobe?

Today I am going to talk about some of my favorite color and fabric trends in ladies dresses that I prefer wearing in winters...

For everyday wear in not so cold winter of Karachi cotton, linen and Khaddar suits are perfect but the satin collections of various brands can also be worn on a daily basis if accessorized appropriately.

The lightweight chiffon is generally considered a spring/summer only fabric but on formal evening events like weddings nothing looks better than a chiffon dress even in winters. You just need a heavier warmer fabric beneath the chiffon overlay of a dress and it will be good enough for winters. The best thing about chiffon suits is you can dress them up or down for any occasion with appropriate accessories.

Everyone starts wearing dark colors as soon as the winters approach, yes they look good but this winter I think we all should leave the blacks, dark blues, maroons and purples and experiment with some different colors. How about trying on some bright hues such as forest green, Mustard yellow or rust brown?

Trends to try this eid

Hello beauties!
I am back and today I am going to do talk about some fashion trends. Eid is near and we all know selecting a perfect outfit for eid is a really hectic and difficult task, we go through dozens of websites and shops to look for latest trends and colors to find one perfect outfit but now you don't need to do this because I have done this for you and now I am going to share with you a few trends in women's clothing that you can try for your eid outfit.
Personally for eid I prefer a traditional outfit but nothing too fancy so that I can wear it casually after eid that’s why I prefer lighter fabrics such as lawn with more detailing in cuts and lesser embroidery as they are easy to carry and are summer appropriate and that's why I am sharing such trends only, nothing too fancy. So let's get started:
Cut out sleeves:
A part is cut from the upper part of the sleeve. It can be in any shape and whatever size you want. You can get some ideas from here:

Puffy and voluminous sleeves are very much in trend not only in Pakistan but internationally as well. These are a few types of voluminous sleeves you can try.

Bell sleeves: These are the sleeves made in the shape of a bell i.e. the upper half is fitted with a flared bottom half. This trend is t not very popular in Pakistan yet but some designers have made these bell sleeves in their dresses so this trend is getting popular very soon girls.

Anaya by Kiran Chaudhry

Batwing sleeves:

It’s a long wide sleeve with a deep armhole, tapering towards the waist. These sleeves not only look chic but are also summer appropriate.

Balloon sleeves:
These are the sleeves fitted from top and fuller at the bottom and are gathered into a cuff.

Tulip pants:

From high end to high street tulip pants are all the rage these days. Pearl studded tulip shalwars are very popular and are my favorite.

Belted dupattas and shirts:
Just put your dupatta on one shoulder and loosely tie it around your waist with a thin belt it looks super stylish.

Ethnic by outfitters
Belted voluminous shirts are also very common.
Lahori ink
Front open slits: If you want a dress that will make you look flatter or taller go for shirts with front open slits.

Summer shopping...

Hello beauties!
How are you all doing? Enjoying summer? Nah?
Me too.. :(
I am not enjoying at all. I am not a summer person I like winters more than any other season but being a Karachiite I have to bear with summer for almost ten months in a year. Even our fall and spring has summer in it. It's only the start of march and it's supposed to be spring but we already have scorching sun on our heads. I dont like this, I am already missing winter which did not come to Karachi this year.
But no matter how much I love winters the summers are approaching fast so its better that I start preparing for it instead of complaining.. right?

To prepare for summer we need to do a lot of shopping but getting outside and shopping in the scorching sun is not something we are fond of right? In this situation online shopping websites come to our rescue. So today I am going to share one such website with you.
Pakstyle.pk is one such website which has a large variety of products from fashion to household and electronic items in all price range. It is basically a portal through which different sellers showcase and sell their products.

Whenever I think of summer shopping the first thing that comes to my mind is lawn and its not my fault we women are forced by these brands to think about nothing but lawn.
Even before the summer arrives we are bombarded with tempting billboards and TV advertisments of lawns so it's difficult to resist. Pakstyle.pk has an irresistible collection of lawn dresses most of which are really affordable and amazing. I am sharing some of my favourites below but you can find their complete women's lawn collection 2016 here.

Besides lawn it is also a great website for other ladies clothes online shopping . They also have a large variety of other women clothing items like tights, cigarette pants, shawls and scarves and tops. Check out their full collection.

That's it for today
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which is your favourite season and what is your favourite part of summer.

My search for perfect eid dress

Hello everyone!
How are you all doing? Hope your Ramazan and summers are going well..
With Eid just around the corner everyone is seen planning and preparing for it and so I am. For last few days all I am doing is viewing hundreds of photos of dresses of all famous, not so famous, expensive, not so expensive, high-end as well as street brands just to get a perfect eid dress for myself.
Seriously I don't know why people say online shopping has made life easier it has actually made shopping more difficult for me. With so many options in front of me it gets really difficult to choose one. Normally, I don't take very long in choosing things I see something and I know if I want it or not. But its different with the eid dress, selecting the eid dress has always been a big task for me and now with online shopping it has become time consuming too as I check hundreds of dresses and compare them with each other and then do it all over again many times :p.
When I was younger my mom used to get me all those embroidered and embellished traditional dresses for me and since then getting a perfect eid dress has become very important for me but now I prefer dresses that are more wearable on daily basis. Since its really hot these days I find myself more attracted towards very light pastel hues.

So, like every year I am on my quest to find my eid dress these days. I have seen like a Thousand dresses may be :p some got rejected because they were not appropriate to be worn for whole day in this hot weather some because they were too expensive and some simply because my mom doesn't like 'em.
Finally, now I have shortlisted a few dresses which I am sharing with you here and now I have to choose one or may be two from these.

Digital prints are all the rage these days. I love this one from Zahra Ahmad.

Another digital print but this one is by Maria B.
This one is a simple casual shirt from Change.

This is a shirt from Orient Textile's Lawn collection. I am just loving the pastel blue colour.

Isn't this print pretty??  I am becoming a fan of  floral prints.

Loving the print of this shirt from Thredz.

This shirt is named snow. Although I can not see the design clearly but Isn't the color enough to add it to my wishlist?
Yes it is :)

This one is from Rungrez. Again the design is not very clear in the picture but I love the pastel blue hues.

These are two different dresses from Maria B which look quite similar and I am loving both of them.. (I think I am going to buy at least one of them coz I saw them first and can't stop thinking about them since then. P.S. White is my favourite color).

This is another one from Orient. It is a three piece Lawn suit.
So that's the list of ladies' dresses I like as they look good and summer appropriate and also somewhat affordable (all are priced at somewhere under PKR 6000/- or may be a little more but none of them crossed 7k).

So this is it for now. Which one of these do you like? help me in selecting by writing in the comments people :)
I will be back soon till then take care..
